Since 1993, American Recycling Technologies has kept more than 1.2 billion pounds of textiles out of local waste streams and given more than $25,000,000 to charities across the United States.

Each year, over 22.5 billion pounds of clothing end up in landfills, making up nearly 10% of our solid waste. American Recycling Technologies diverts more than 75 million pounds of unwanted textiles annually from landfills and other waste streams. The climate benefits of reusing textiles far exceed those of recycling materials like glass, paper, and plastics. By extending the life of unwanted clothing, we reduce raw material demand, mitigate environmental damage, and preserve vital resources, fostering a sustainable future.

At American Recycling Technologies, we’ve created an innovative recycling program that’s committed to make a difference where it’s needed most. ART proudly donates $1,000,000 per year to volunteer EMS squads, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, religous organizations, and school districts - stepping in to provide crucial funding and resources when government support falls short.
